Kent county gurls field hockey played their last game on thursday october 21st against gunston. a good fight they put up but u could feel the tension in the air for gunston coach was a former player under trish, the kchs jv hockey coach. it was very cold and all the gurls were wrapped with pants and sweatshirts under their uniforms but the bitter cold didnt put down their spirits or lower their energy at all! a tough fight they put up, getting several corner shots in the 2nd half of the game and fighting hard to keep the ball off their side. only one goal was scored throughout the whole game, but unfortuantly it was made by a perky little blonde gurl on the gunston team. did anyone else notice the makeup all smeared on her face?? just wondering. goalie katelynne connelly stuck in there, encouraging her team and blocking several attempts by gunston offense. with so much congestion at the top of the goal it was nearly impossible for katelynne to prevent the one goal that was scored. either way she was upset, fro she knew what she did wrong and how she could hve fixed it. oh well..we still luv ya kate...ur still my lemondrop! i was official timekeeper, shouting times to the referee, both coaches and curious players. victoria kohl was manager...and having a tough time of it for she had both the distraction of me and james bedell and the other team didnt hve a manager therefore she had no help on their side! we stuck in the game the whole time and though it was a tough last game it was defiantly a great season! awesome job kent county jv field hockey!!! keep it rockin!!!
